Insight-Athletics Foundation was created from a simple but powerful realization: talent and potential are everywhere — access is not.
Before launching the Foundation, Insight-Athletics was built to help student-athletes and families navigate the college recruiting process with clarity, accuracy, and confidence. Through that work, one truth became impossible to ignore. Families with resources, connections, or prior knowledge were able to move forward. Too many others — equally capable and motivated — were falling behind, not because of ability, but because they lacked the right information, the right support, or access to trusted guidance.
Insight-Athletics Foundation exists to change that.
We believe knowledge creates opportunity, and the life skills gained through sport and higher education last a lifetime. No young student-athlete should miss out on opportunity simply because their family couldn’t afford support or didn’t know how the system works.
The Foundation was established to provide the same high-quality education, guidance, and tools — free of charge — to student-athletes and families who need it most. Through programs like the Athlete Access Project and the SheRecruit Initiative, we focus on early, equitable access to recruiting education, parent support, and trusted local networks that help families make informed decisions. Our work is not about promises or shortcuts. It’s about preparation, understanding, and empowerment — so every student-athlete has a fair chance to pursue their academic and athletic goals with confidence.
Because access should never determine potential.
Insight-Athletics Foundation was organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. A public-benefit, non-profit organization. (EIN: 41-2527921)
The Foundation addresses a growing need for accessible, accurate, and unbiased educational information for student-athletes and families navigating academic requirements, athletic participation, and post-secondary opportunities.
Youth sports systems have become increasingly complex and costly. Families without access to private advisors or institutional support often lack reliable information about development pathways, academic eligibility, recruiting timelines, and development pathways. The Foundation was created to reduce these disparities by providing education-first programming delivered through community partnerships and public-benefit initiatives.
Insight-Athletics Foundation is governed by an independent volunteer Board of Directors responsible for ensuring that all activities are conducted in furtherance of the Foundation’s charitable mission and in compliance with applicable nonprofit laws and regulations.

Founder & Board Chair
Kristin Collins is the Founder of Insight-Athletics and the Insight-Athletics Foundation, organizations dedicated to helping student-athletes reach their full potential in sport, education & life.
With over 25 years of experience across Olympic, professional, and collegiate athletics, Kristin has led performance technology and innovation initiatives for National Olympic Committees and global sport organizations. Her work has centered on helping athletes reach their potential through thoughtful development, insight, and long-term support.
Kristin’s perspective is also deeply personal. As a parent of three accomplished multi-sport student-athletes—including a Division I track & field athlete at Boise State, a Division I Lacrosse athlete at Yale University, and another competed in both national travel-team lacrosse and international snowboarding —she understands firsthand the challenges families face navigating this journey, often with limited guidance.
Through the Insight-Athletics Foundation, Kristin is committed to expanding access, providing clarity, and ensuring that more student-athletes can experience the lasting impact sport has on confidence, opportunity, and life beyond competition.
